Malaga today hosted the presentation of the world’s first “smart” mattress that, after incorporating the energex foam adaptable to all needs and morphologies, affects the quality of life during the regenerative process at rest of obese or overweight people, granting independence bedding and freedom of movement

Colchones La Nuit, the largest rest products factory in Andalusia located in the Malaga municipality of Mollina, will donate € 5 from the sale of each mattress to the SEEDO Foundation after signing a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Society of Obesity (SEO).

The manager of Colchones La Nuit, Raimundo Artacho, and Dr. Francisco Tinahones, president of SEEDO (Spanish Society for the Study of Obesity) and renowned research specialist in the field of Endocrinology and Nutrition, have presented this pioneer in Malaga product designed to improve the well-being of overweight or obese people by regenerating the body during their rest process.

25% of Spanish society lives with obesity, a risk factor that affects the detection of more than 30 diseases such as type 2 diabetes or different cancer specifications, among other severe diseases.

The benefits of this revolutionary mattress manufactured with avant-garde products, micro springs that favor flexibility and a balanced distribution of loads through energex foam make it possible to adjust a happier sleep to the physical needs of each person’s morphology.

One in four people in Spain suffers from obesity or overweight. According to Francisco Tinahones, “a balanced diet, the regular practice of physical exercise, stress, a good night’s sleep or the socioeconomic levels of the society in which we now live actively participate in combating obesity.” For this specialist, “the concept that having a good mattress at home will invite us to sleep better and with better quality during rest hours is not trivial, especially in the children’s group”.

Raimundo Artacho highlights the “ecological wink of a mattress specially made with natural materials that help to find that necessary neutral temperature desired to achieve bed independence and a respectable and conciliatory freedom of movement”.
